July 2010 update for Haiti | News

Just a quick update to let you know that there is currently a container enroute to Haiti containing rice meals, beans, and canned goods. In addition, the container is carrying 5,000 Creole New Testament Bibles with Psalms, gospel tracts, and bible study materials. There are also 3 additional containers being prepared which will be dispatched as soon as transport passage is available.
Our partners in Haiti tell us that the government is tightening security and not allowing free access to aid organizations, as it did immediately following the earthquake in January. It is again difficult for aid to get through customs, or even through the Dominican Republic border. Please pray with us that the containers we are sending to Haiti will find their way safely to those who need it most - the families who lost everything and are struggling to survive.
