Pakistan’s deadliest floods in decades have hit with great force, causing the Indus river and tributaries to overflow, destroying crops, collapsing bridges, killing over 1,600 people and affecting over 4 million.  Monsoon rains are expected to continue, and in fact have already begun causing damage in the largest and most populated region of Punjab. What people need in the wake of this disaster is food, shelter, water, medicine and above all, HOPE.

Working with our long-time ministry partner, Christian Fellowship of Pakistan, relief is on its way. Your support today of $36 will provide emergency relief for a family of five for 10 days, which includes rice, flour, lentils, cooking oil, drinking water and medicine.

Pakistan is a heavily populated country with more than 170 million people.  More than 65% of the population is extremely poor, and 60% are illiterate. Pakistan is also the second largest Islamic nation in the world, with over 96% Muslim population.  Islamist charities, some with suspected ties to militants, have stepped in to provide aid, piling pressure on the government to show it can take control.  For Feed the Hungry, our target –as always – is to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ with the message of life, not only life in response to this crisis but eternal life in Christ!
Please act now and help send God's love and hope to the nation of Pakistan during this disaster.
