LeSEA Global Feed the Hungry is committed to complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in order to protect and secure the personal information you provide to our ministry online.
Information we collect
Personal information is only collected from persons interested in requesting information or materials from our organization (either through phone, mail, internet, or personal contact), or through donations made voluntarily.
 
Personal information we collect includes name, address, city, province, postal code, telephone number, email address, and (if applicable) credit card details. We also maintain a history of your interactions with LGFTH for a period of 7 years. Information is stored in hard-copy form offsite.
 
In an effort to improve our service and communications we may also record voluntary information regarding church affiliations, professional interest, comments, significant life experiences, and demographics.
 
How Information is used
 
Personal information is used to process your donation and issue a tax receipt. We may also use this information to update you on ministry projects and activities, to encourage you spiritually, or to provide you opportunity to support our work. Credit card details are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for any other purpose.
 
How secure is my online donation?
Your donations are made on an SSL secure site, and your data is transmitted to our donor software in a
highly encrypted form using a direct connection which, unlike email, cannot be intercepted.
 
No sharing of personal information
LeSEA Global Feed the Hungry never sells, rents, or exchanges your personal information with other organizations. All information gleaned is considered confidential and will be limited to the purposes of LGFTH Canada.
